Hello!
I'm Jessica Sallads, a Game Graphics Production student at Howest DAE, aspiring to become a 3D Generalist.
I've always enjoyed creating things, and game art gives me the opportunity to combine that creativity with games. Before starting my studies at DAE, I completed a school-based vocational qualification in Game Art at bib International College, where I got my first deeper look into the world of 3D and game development.
I love creating 3D models of all kinds, especially props and assets that could eventually find their way into a game. I enjoy jumping between different subjects and styles, whether that's a stylized environment, a strange little prop, a vehicle or a completely new concept.
My current toolkit includes programs like Blender, 3ds Max, ZBrush, Substance Painter, Photoshop, Krita, Unity and Unreal Engine. I'm particularly interested in the 3D side of game development and am always looking for new things to learn and experiment with.
There's still plenty I want to explore. Animation is one of the areas I'd like to dive into next, both to broaden my skills as a 3D Artist and also because I have been interested in that type of creative work for years already but have not been able to try it out much so far.
If you like what you see, want to talk about game art, or simply want to know more about my work, feel free to get in touch!
