Burnt Viking Wizard

I designed this wizard character around three very different prompts: Vikings, the Lore of Tzeentch, and Partially Burned. I wanted to combine these ideas into a character that felt strange and imposing while still having a clear silhouette and personality.
The design process was started traditionally with sketches on paper, to explore some poses and clothes, as well as how the wizard can still look like one, without using typical props like a staff or big pointy hat.
The combination of Viking-inspired elements, magical motifs and signs of burning gave me a lot of room to experiment with the character's materials and overall visual language.
